Drew Melaragno

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Drew has a passion for working with kids, teens, and young adults. He realized he wanted to go into the field of counseling in college where he played Division 1 football while studying psychology at the University of Dayton. From there he graduated with his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindenwood University.

Drew uses the lessons learned through athletics as well as the knowledge from school to help individuals feel encouraged and hopeful. Helping clients overcome anger, anxiousness, depression, loneliness, and stress are a few areas of specialization. In addition, he is equipped to talk with athletes about performance anxiety, dealing with injuries, and managing relationships with teammates and coaches.

Drew uses a variety of techniques that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy (such as throwing the football or baseball outside), and person-centered therapy. With these techniques, he is able to help clients see their unique strengths and what they are capable of becoming.
