Andrew Glickert
Provisionally Licensed (PLPC)
Andrew is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) with a background that started far from the therapy room. He studied engineering and computer science at the University of Missouri before realizing he was far more energized working with people than solving problems on paper. That shift led him to a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University, and time working directly in Missouri public schools along the way. As a certified yoga teacher, former competitive swimmer, and current jiu jitsu student, he understands firsthand what it takes to push through discomfort and come out steadier on the other side.
He believes people aren’t meant to solve problems alone, and that meaningful change starts with a genuine, honest relationship. His goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable enough to be real, and confident enough to leave each session a little more sure of themselves. Andrew’s style is come as you are. No pressure to perform wellness, no pretending you’re further along than you are.
Andrew takes a person centered, strengths based approach to therapy. That means the client sets the direction, and the work builds from what’s already working in someone’s life, not just what’s broken. He draws on CBT, DBT, EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy), and motivational interviewing, with a strong pull toward existential work, the deeper questions about meaning, purpose, and what a good life actually looks like for each person.
After years working directly in a high school setting, Andrew has a special place in his heart for working with adolescents. He has a real, firsthand understanding of what that age brings, from the social pressure to the identity questions to the parts of growing up that can feel too big to say out loud, and he brings that understanding into every session with teen clients.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, a major life transition, low self worth, or you’re simply not sure what direction to head in next, Andrew strives to create a space where you feel heard, grounded, and equipped to move forward.

Therapeutic Approach
Andrew integrates person centered and strengths based therapy with CBT, DBT, EFT, motivational interviewing, and existential approaches. He believes therapy should meet each client where they are, not fit them into one method, and he keeps the relationship at the center of every session.
Who He Works With
Andrew works with teens (ages 13 to 18), young adults, adults, couples, and families, including people navigating career or life transitions, high achievers under pressure, and anyone looking for a grounded, honest space to figure out their next step. Given his background in a high school setting, he has a particular passion for working with adolescents.
